How brake discs are machined

OP10

The Operation 10 process focuses on coarse and semi-fine processing. In other words, the machining highlights on each brake disc are mainly focused on machining the surface and inner diameter of the brake discs to a coarse or semi-fine finish. At this stage, a certain margin of rough machining is reserved for each brake disk, and the rigidity of the machining tools and fixtures is required to a certain extent for the process of operation 10 to work.

OP20

There are some similarities and differences between OP10 and OP20. Commonalities: Both OP10 and OP20 focus on coarse and semi-fine machining Each brake disk retains a certain amount of clearance for grinding. The rigidity of the machining tools and fixtures is required to a certain degree. Differences: OP10 mainly roughs the surface and inner diameter of brake discs, while OP20 grooves the surface and outer diameter.

OP30

After the surface and diameter of the brake disk have been roughened from the inside out and grooved, it is time to drill PCD holes during the OP30 process. The highlight of OP30 is drilling the PCD holes on the surface of each brake disk and machining this movement in non-cutting time, e.g. X/Y/Z-axis movement time, tool change time, etc.

OP40

After the surface and diameter of the brake disk have been roughened from the inside out and grooved, it is time to drill PCD holes during the OP30 process. The highlight of OP30 is drilling the PCD holes on the surface of each brake disk and machining this movement in non-cutting time, e.g. X/Y/Z-axis movement time, tool change time, etc.
